SantaPark Ticket, Home Cavern of Santa

About this experience

SantaPark, the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, is at Tarvantie 1, about 7 km from Rovaniemi city centre and about 2 km from the airport. It is not inside Santa Claus Village; it is a separate, paid park a short drive away. SantaPark calls itself the world's only underground Christmas theme park, and its own timeline puts the opening in November 1998. The 2026-27 season runs 31 October 2026 to 23 January 2027, daily 10:00 to 18:00, with 09:00 openings on December weekends and from 24 to 31 December.

The ticket is for one full day, and you choose the date when you book. Inside: Santa's office, Elf School with a diploma and an elf trainee hat, the elf show, the Magic Train, a virtual sleigh ride around the world, the Elf Workshop, the Elves' Post Office, Mrs. Gingerbread's Bakery and an underground crossing of the Arctic Circle. The ticket listings say you may take as many photos and videos with Santa and the elves as you like on your own devices; the official Santa photo is extra. Food, gingerbread decorating and shop items cost extra too, and lunch is sold on site.

SantaPark's own prices for 2026-27 start from EUR 42 per adult and EUR 37 per child aged 3 to 12, under 3 free, plus a booking fee, and vary by date. This GetYourGuide ticket has no transport. SantaPark has free parking, and it says the Santa Claus Bus between the city centre and Santa Claus Village stops there. Online tickets sell up to one day ahead, so book the evening before at the latest, then show the voucher at the ticket office. Every tour on this site cancels free up to 24 hours before the start.

What guests say

★★★★★

It was really nice and even a little magical. There are lots of elves around and you can take pictures with them. The elf show is super cute and a blast to watch. Santa is very sweet and open-minded, he asked the child a lot of questions and was very friendly and kind. The park is underground, so don't dress your kids too warmly.

It is very complementary to Santa Claus village. Arriving at the opening we had done everything at 1:00 p.m. We were able to see Santa Claus without queuing and the universe is full of elves. It is nice to do, to be preferred when the weather is bad because everything is indoors.

  • Book by the evening before. Online tickets on this listing sell up to one day ahead.
  • Ask the elf to take photos on your phone in Santa's office. A guest says they do it for free.
  • Combine it with the village on another day. Free Santa at Santa Claus Office and paid SantaPark are different experiences.
