The village with a local

Guided Walk of Santa Claus Village

About this experience

You meet the guide at the Arctic Circle Information hall in the village. After a short introduction you walk to Santa Claus' Main Post Office to send a card with the Arctic Circle postmark, cross the Arctic Circle line (the certificate costs from about EUR 5), look into the souvenir shops and meet Santa. The guide also shows you Snowman World and the short mini-safari rides, and takes your photo along the way. The stops are optional, so the two hours bend to what your group wants.

The useful extra is the queue. The listing says you can use the guide to cut your waiting time for Santa or Mrs Santa Claus: ask for it when you book or when you meet. That is not a skip-the-queue ticket. Entry to Santa Claus Village is free, and so is the regular meeting with Santa at Santa Claus Office: no ticket and no booking, you join the queue in opening hours. Santa Claus Office says to allow about an hour in the queue inside in December, and on the busiest days the free entry times handed out at the small red cabin by the Arctic Circle line can run out after midday. A guide who knows the system can collect the free entry time for you. The listing also mentions discount tickets for the mini safaris.

Nothing beyond the guide is included. Transport, Snowman World, mini safaris and Santa photos are extra; Official Santa photos at Santa Claus Office start at EUR 57 for up to five people (current Santa Claus Office price list), and your own phone or camera is not allowed in Santa's room. Snowman World opens for the 2026-27 season on 6 December 2026 (EUR 35, all ages, under 2 free). Getting there is easy: Bus 8 runs from the city centre in about half an hour for EUR 3.60 one way (EUR 3.30 in the Waltti Mobile app), and parking at the village is free. Check the current stop in the Linkkari journey planner, because the city-centre bus stops moved in October 2026. The walk cancels free up to 24 hours before.
