When is Snowman World open in 2026-27?

From 6 December 2026 to 17 March 2027, weather permitting. Hours are 10:00-20:00 every day until 6 January 2027, then 11:00-19:00 until the end of the season.

Tickets for November and for 1 to 5 December are not on sale, because the park is still being built. If you are in the village before 6 December, Café Ensilumi, the indoor café at Snowman World, is open from 6 November, 12:00-18:00, with no ticket needed. The season ends in mid-March because the park relies on cold weather; Snowman World says extreme warm spells could in theory change the hours, though so far it has never had to.

The Snowman Disco in the Ice Bar runs every evening, 17:00-20:00 until 6 January and 17:00-19:00 after that, and it is part of the normal ticket.

How much are Snowman World tickets in 2026-27?

35 € per person for the entrance ticket, the same price for children and adults; children under 2 are free. Packages with a guided early entry, a meal or a 3-course dinner cost 52 € to 124 €.

Snowman World sells its tickets online and on the spot, but recommends booking ahead. There are no group or family discounts, no season pass and no free carer tickets. You can show the ticket on your phone. The ticket is valid for the whole day, so you can go and meet Santa, eat in the village and come back as often as you like.

Cancelling more than 24 hours ahead gets 95% back from Snowman World; a date change is free with 24 hours' notice by email. The Snowman World ticket on GetYourGuide is from $41 and cancels free up to 24 hours before.

What is inside Snowman World?

Two snow tubing hills, two ice slides, an ice skating rink with free skates, a snow labyrinth, snow and ice art with a new theme every year, the Ice Bar, the Snow Restaurant and the Snowman Disco.

• Snow tubing: a big hill for speed and a smaller one for little ones. No steering, one person per tube on the big slide.
• Ice slides: one big, one small, no gear needed.
• The skating rink: skates are lent for free, and staff help beginners. It can close on warmer days when the ice goes soft.
• The snow labyrinth: winding paths between snow walls, open to the sky.
• Snow and ice art around the park and in the Snow Restaurant, handmade on a new theme each winter.
• The snowmen Hanki, Tykky and Lumi wander around and dance at the disco.

It is not huge, and that suits small children. Michelle, in Mar 2026: "My 8 year old daughter loved this place, was perfect for her as in a smaller area and she could move back and forth between the fun activities for hours easily". Edyta, a month earlier, on the Ice Bar: "There's also an ice bar where you can order drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in ice glasses and then smash them for luck on the ice wall."

Can you eat at Snowman World?

Yes, in the Snow Restaurant, built of snow and ice. Lunch-style meals are served at 12:00, 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 (plus 18:00 from 7 January), and a 3-course dinner at 18:00 from 6 December to 6 January.

A meal starts with crispbread, oat bread and smoked salt butter, then a main course (salmon, reindeer or tomato soup, three pastas, sautéed reindeer or roasted salmon), then Snowman's blueberry pie. Dinner has a parsnip soup starter, a choice of roast elk, Arctic salmon, chicken or a falafel patty, and a strawberry-chocolate dessert, with a kids' option. All dishes come gluten-free and lactose-free, and there are vegetarian and vegan options.

Every meal needs a Snowman World ticket, and the 35 € entrance is added to the booking automatically. In December, book ahead: meals get fully booked. Arrive on time, since tables are released after 20 minutes in the busy season, and count on about an hour at most, because the room is cold. Riada, in Mar 2026, had the soups: "eating inside an ice restaurant made the whole experience feel truly unique."

What are the rules at Snowman World?

Children under 15 stay with their parents, one person per tube on the big slide, no own food or alcohol, no pets, no drones and no smoking inside the park.

• Kids with their grown-ups. Staff watch the slides, but they do not look after children; adults come with their own ticket.
• Little ones on the big tube slide must be able to reach the ring's handles. Infants always go with a parent.
• No cutting in line or pushing. Staff at the start and end of the slide send one guest down at a time.
• No own food or drinks, no own alcohol. The Ice Bar and Café Ensilumi sell both.
• No pets in the park. Dogs are welcome inside Café Ensilumi.
• No drones, and smoking only in the marked areas outside.

If you are pregnant, Snowman World says walking around, the labyrinth, the Ice Bar and the disco are fine; for skating and tubing it leaves the choice to you and your doctor. The whole park is ice and snow, so wear boots with grip and watch your step.

What are the best tips for visiting Snowman World?

Go at opening time or in the evening, dress for -10 °C to -20 °C, book a meal ahead in December, and plan two hours at least: most families stay longer.

• Come early or late. Snowman World says early morning and late evening are usually less busy. Jade, in Feb 2026: "We arrived at the opening and we had the park almost to ourselves, and that was great! Almost no waiting at the buoy, almost alone on the ice rink".
• Split the day. The ticket is valid all day: slide in the morning, queue for Santa at midday, come back for the disco at 17:00.
• Dress properly. Visit Rovaniemi gives the temperature inside the park as 0 to -5 °C, and outside winter days typically run -10 °C to -20 °C. Snowman World does not rent clothing; it points visitors to Winterent in Rovaniemi.
• Warm up indoors. Café Ensilumi sells hot drinks, snacks, and hand and toe warmers.
• Allow time. Kadie, with children aged 11 to 15 in Mar 2026: "we had an amazing day spent about 5 hours here".
• Do not plan on Northern Lights here. Snowman World itself says light pollution makes it a poor spot.
